This past week I crossed something off my bucket list that has been on there for quite a while: backpacking Havasupai! It was both the hardest and the most rewarding thing I have ever done and it definitely lived up to the hype. I decided to share this post in more of a “trail journal” type of way, so come along for the ride with me.
Today, I’m here to let you in on a little secret: Upper Calf Creek Falls. In exchange for knowing this secret, you have to agree to take care of it. If you visit this waterfall, make sure you Leave No Trace, respect other hikers, and adventure on.
As much as I would like to, the fact is that I don’t get to go outside and go hiking or camping every day, or even every weekend. Most of the time, life just gets in the way, whether it’s in the form of other responsibilities, bad weather, or work. Other times, I choose to go to the farmer’s market with my husband on a Saturday morning or take my pup to the dog park on weeknights instead of heading into the mountains.
During those times, though, I still crave the outdoors like crazy and I love to keep myself inspired with the accounts I follow on Instagram. Sometimes it backfires and I get a little too much wanderlust, but most of the time, it gives me ideas for where to go next and gives me more creative photography inspiration. So today, I thought I would share my top 10 favorite adventurous Instagram accounts to follow, just in case you want to get the travel bug too!

Most of the time when I head out on an adventure, it’s just for a few hours or an afternoon. Even though it’s not for long, however, that doesn’t meant I don’t have to prepare. I get tons of questions about what to take hiking and what gear is my favorite, so here’s what’s in my pack for day hikes!
When I first started a blog, just like I had no idea what SEO was, I also had no idea what Google Analytics was. I started out on Blogspot and I figured the only reporting I needed was the page views, which Blogspot shows you automatically! Done! Except, I actually needed way more than that.
